Priorities
Congress is broken and cannot move forward unless Washington’s existing problems are fixed. Our new congressional district needs leadership willing to stand up to special interests and deliver results for working families in San Bernardino and Los Angeles County. As an independent common sense lawmaker, I will bring this kind of leadership back to Washington.
As a legislator, I’ve focused on reforming government, helping working families get ahead, and delivering needed resources for our district. I’ve also created opportunities for quality local jobs, improved our current transportation system to reduce traffic congestion, restored local authority to schools, protected services seniors and veterans rely on, and ensured our area receives its fair share for ground water cleanup, transportation, and public safety.
I’ve been part of our community since 1970 raising my family with my husband Gil. I am the only candidate who has lived in the newly drawn district for 42 years-Montclair 5 years and Chino 37 years. It has been my honor and privilege to serve our district and community for over 16 years as a locally elected representative and it will be my honor and privilege to take this experience to Washington.
In the House of Representatives, I will focus on job creation and ensuring our limited resources are invested in programs that improve the lives of Californians. My record of independent, common sense leadership has earned me the support of Republicans, Independents, and Democrats throughout the district. I would be honored to have your vote on November 6.
